We have the first in-package images of Black Knight Optimus Prime courtesy of site sponsor RobotKingdom and board member Type-R. This figure is set to be released in Toys R Us stores across Japan on August 3rd.
This recolor of Age of Extinction Armored Knight Optimus Prime is a Decepticon-inspired deco that features Nemesis Prime’s evil black, maroon and teal color scheme in place of Optimus’ heroic blue, red and silver.
This figure, while lacking somewhat in engineering due to the simplicity of the design appears to more than make up for it with an absolutely killer deco. It does however feature the improved “knight”-inspired gauntlets, the redesigned torso and swappable face mask gimmick of Armored Knight Prime.
