シジフォス編 第一話「英雄の弟」
舞台は聖戦の17年前
黄金聖闘士の候補生である三人の少年、シジフォス、ハスガード、アスプロス
彼らは黄金聖闘士の英雄・イリアスが到着するまでの見張りと伝令を任せられていた
そんな三人の前でケンタウロスの野盗が集落を襲撃
シジフォスとハスガードはイリアスの到着を待たずに戦おうとするが
二人と初対面のアスプロスは戦闘許可が出ていない、伝令の命令を守り助けを呼ぶべきと意見が対立
だが持ち前の正義感と兄へのコンプレックスからシジフォスはハスガードど共に集落へ飛び出す
当初は野盗を圧倒していた二人だが野盗の黒幕であったスペクターに返り討ちにされてしまう
そこに現れたイリアスがライトニングプラズマ一撃で野盗たちを粉砕
シジフォスはイリアスを連れてきたアスプロスの判断が正しかったことを悟る
数日後、兄と訓練に励むシジフォスだが自然と対話しろと言う彼の教えが全く理解出来ず苦しむのだった
更に一年後 シジフォスは射手座の聖衣の継承試合に挑むまで成長を遂げていた
ルールは丸腰で現役の黄金聖闘士と戦い一矢を報いること
相手はアルバフィカの師匠である魚座のルゴニス
手も足も出ないシジフォスだが英雄の弟としてではなく自分という聖闘士になるため最後の一撃を放つ
そしてルゴニスの指先を傷つけ、試験に合格したシジフォスだかイリアスは弟の天命を探るために更なる試験を教皇に提案するのだった
