Hello 树, here is the different step to make the dragon, rudy as work in association with sir hill for creating this amazing scene. Using differents kind of material, for water effect "sillicon" has been used, other is polystyren.














And here one background for Aphrodite with rose and Shura making is excalibur attack !!



The last is for andromeda objet, i like it very much [s:36]




Actually in association with my friend rudy, i want him to make a background as a tribute for "ALL4SEIYA.COM", so it will look like a chineese place, with moutain, water place and many more, hope you'll enjoy this future background, the most important for me.  [s:10]

I tried to work with styrofoam, but i find it very hard to cut it - the material is very fragile and breaks into many small pieces when i cut it, and so the edges are all very messy  [s:20]

perhaps i am using the wrong type of styrofoam or my tools are not correct. i wonder how u make such smooth edges? and what tools did u use?

I think that is your material that is not correct "Styrofoam", coz with Polystyren extrud you can cut easily and it's strong too so it don't break into pieces and it's easy to work coz u can make the form you want. For tools, just a cutter for sculpting the differents elements of the backgrounds

oh, so it seems it is the wrong material. But according to wikipedia, styrofoam is a type of extruded polystyrene too - like the type used for packing TV and stuff.

where do u buy your Polystyren extrud from? Art shops?

I buy it in construction shop in france my friend, don't know if in china you can find the same material. But can you provide a pic of styrofoam, i don't know exactly what is it. Thx in advance my friend

the one i have is a big rectangular piece but only about 1 centimeter thick. surface is like the one in this picture:

i guess the ones sold in construction shop are tougher. The construction shop you mentioned - is it some hardware tools shop? what other stuff they sell in that shop? (it'd be great if they have a worldwide chain xD )

btw, im from singapore - know any shops here that sell the same material?

OOH, ok you're from thaïland !! The shop i go is only in france. I see the pic my friend, this is not this kind of polystyren, that's why it's breaking when you try to cut. Look at the pictures i bring, you can see it's not the same. I really want to help you more but i really didn't know in which place you can find that in thailand.
