Last year Masami Kurumada was invited to the fair XVII Salon du Mangá de Barcelona. He couldn't go due to his business, but he agreed to answer some questions sent by Glenat, the Spanish publisher of SaintSeiya manga.
The publisher made a contest where people could send their own answer.
10 question where chosen for Kurumada and sent in September 2011.

The answer were then published in the 3rd volume of Spanish Kanzenban edition of manga last month.

1) What is the secret that Saint Seiya has remained a success after so many years?
Seiya is still a success thanks to the support provided by fans around the world. I hope I can rely on your support henceforth too.
2) Did you suggest or choose by yourself Megumu Okada and Shiori Teshirogi for committing to the designs of Episode G and Lost Canvas?
Yes,I commissioned them by myself for the designs of Episode G and The Lost Canvas.
The two artists are great fans of Seiya since childhood and inspire me full confidence to let them the drawing of the series.
3) Why did you chose the saint of Pegasus as the main character?
The concept of Pegasus, the horse of the sky, seemed very suitable as the protagonist-hero for the male readers (of Shonen)
4) It was odd to me in SaintSeiya that Marin and Seiya's sister ended up being different persons... Had you been planning it, or was it a switch you'd decided in the end?
At the beginning I didn't mean that Marin and Seiya were brothers. It occurred me later in the story.
5) Nowadays the constellation of Ophiuchus is so popular, are we expecting any surprise in Next Dimension?
As a matter of facts, the constellation of Ophiuchus has been placed with the 12 constellations only recently. Since Shaina holds this constellation, it'll be difficult to rise.
6) Were you involved in the Asgard chapter in the anime of SaintSeiya?
It was TOEI ANIME who made the original script of the Asgard chapter, on my own I just give them advice.
7) Claiming about the other "outcast" Bronze Saint. Will Geki,Jabu and the other minor Bronze Saint gain a greater participation in the future?
As the protagonist is Seiya, it will be difficult for the bronze saint to be the protagonist.
Anyway they are going to attend several adventures.
8) What would you say to who have never read Saint Seiya?
Path of the Truth. (just believe in the truth and follow it)
